Med MentoRx

Med MentoRx is a multimedia project that amplifies the voices of physicians of color and gives students of color insight into navigating the medical field without compromising their cultural identities. A major goal of Med MentoRx is to inspire students and medical professionals of color to connect and establish meaningful and mutually beneficial relationships rooted in the spirit of mentorship. The identity was designed to visualize the significance of mentorship and empowerment to the brand and convey the genuine and approachable brand personality.

Scope of Work: Visual Identity Design, Brand Strategy, Social Media Assets & Strategy

Notes on the design:The logomark was created to symbolize a mentor-mentee relationship, depicting the mentor looking over the mentor while the mentee is receiving guidance with open arms. The mentor’s body is meant to both be based on the shape of an “M” and also represent the v-neck silhouette of a white coat and/or nurse scrub, two markers of medical professionals.The sans serif font was chosen for this identity as it strikes the perfect balance between modern and professionalThe main colors in the color palette were selected as blues are commonly used within the medical field because of its association with credibility, trust, and knowledge while purples are commonly associated with ambition and wisdom.
